Faith for each other

women and coffeeThere are moments in life when the crushing weight of circumstances are so great, you might not be able to grab a hold of faith for yourself. It is amazing how at just the right time, God sends someone along our path to love us enough and is willing to stand in the gap of faith on our behalf.

Have you ever stood beside someone and activated your faith on their behalf, when they didn’t seem able to have faith to believe on their own?

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2, NIV

Same verse in The Message:

“Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ’s law.” Galatians 6:2, The Message

Sometimes the act of faith is a physical expression and other times it is a spiritual expression; regardless we are called to carry one another in times of need. When someone feels beaten down by their circumstances in life, they may not have the emotional or physical strength to battle for themselves. This is where we activate our faith on their behalf, stand in prayer, and are called to action as an act of love and grace.

These very moments should be motivation for us to live our lives full of faith. Not only to please God by walking in obedience and being prepared for our own journey of faith, but for the times He is looking for a choice servant to send out in ministry on behalf of someone else. We are a blessing when we live equipped. (Hope you didn’t miss that line right there. If you did, go back and read it again!)

How is your seed bag of faith today? Are you filling it with just barely enough for you to consume daily, or are you living in such a way that your faith can reproduce at such a pace that there is always plenty to share with others. When you are in a situation where someone is burdened and broken do you faith to pour into their circumstances?

Rise up mighty women, as God is calling us to live outward focused lives that can be used by Him daily. May you walk with your head up to see the opportunities around you, where the overflow of God’s work in you blesses others.

No worksheet today; spend some time praying about how to grow your seed supply of faith for your life and to invest into the lives around you!

Love being in the Word with you!

As I read this passages and the inspirational word that flows through you Ms Cheryl it make me see that I am in the right path and that all the prayers that I have prayed God had answer and it is a blessing and such a surprise that I could have never believe but I see it in everything…all I can see is beauty that even when there was pain and sorrow He always had me in His hand and the consolation that I could not have received from my own children and in a particular one, that particular child that have cause so much disaster and sadness in my life even with that weight and the her load on my shoulders cause due to her actions I still could smile and have joy…. when others will tell me with concern and worry in their hearts, how can you smile? and also they said things like ….”I would have not forgave this child” or I could have not ever and so on….But, you know it took a lot of praying and lot of loving coming from Jesus that gave me the strength to continue and the assurance to have faith that He was right there and Yes! He loved me enough to put people in my way to stand by me and pick up the pieces and their FAITH made me see that FAITH like the one we need to have does exist and it is something to wish for, to pray for and to stand in guard for. It is not something that just happen like magic,…….no….to my understanding I feel that we need to really want it and act upon it…..I appreciate everything and anything that I have receive all that I am. I just pray that He continue guiding me in that narrow path that is hard and difficult but that the reward is so great that it does not matter, it is so worth it.
I am who I am and what I am is a child of God, that with the Word I become better and better as the minutes past. I do keep praying asking for my Jesus to always be by my side and allow me to learn and earn the wisdom that comes from knowing Him.
My words may appear simple and sometime are hard to make out but I feel that I am making my words understandable and you can read the meaning of my feelings and my thoughts.

    Good night and God bless.

How is my bag of Faith? I live be the Faith that God is always there with me no matter what and I live by faith so I may show Jesus to those who need to know Him more. I have learned more recently that I can’t always be the one to swoop down and carry others burdens though I really want to and I have ! in those times when I have had friends and sisters in Christ who have swooped me up with prayer and faith when I need it too. I pray God continues to show me through Faith how I can always have my seed bag of Faith overflowing!

I have been beyond empty for so long. And now… that seed bag is filling. How wild is it that by leaving a “Christian” firm to go back to mainstream? God has blessed me beyond belief with not only a fabulous job, but a pail full of faith that has been hard sought for a number of years in the desert where faith was hard to hunt down.

I have been blessed to have a father who raised me in a God loving home where faith came naturally and abundantly. That doesn’t mean that God hasn’t sent mountains my way – he has. Many times I would hear my dad telling me that “God never gives us more than we can handle”. Each of these journeys has strengthened my faith and made me more of the person God wants me to be.

For the past twelve years, I have prayed that my husband would come to know God. This summer He answered my prayer, but that answer came with the largest and most treacherous mountains I have yet to face. My faith remains strong and I would not trade all of this pain to have the non-believer back.

My journey includes many friends who I thought were strong Christians who are not only not there in support with helpful seeds, but are there with harsh and judging words and action that make me think of Matthew 23:25-26….Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and plate…..

God makes good from bad. Before this recent mountain I may have found myself judging and angry. Not today. Although I still have work to do in this regard, I chose to love and pray for them. Father forgive them for they know not what they do. Give me grace and the seeds of continued and strengthened grace, that I may share those seeds with people in need.

1 John 5:4 “Everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith.”
