The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes
[Chorus]
Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name
You’re rich in love, and You’re slow to anger
Your name is great, and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find
These are the words to Matt Redman’s worship song, 10,000 Reasons. Such a great song of the cry of the heart to exalt Him above all things, from the beginning of each day till the very end of the day. The sun comes up, it’s a new day, it’s time to sing your song again! Talk about a daily discipline of praise, which brings what into our lives? JOY!
We have the ability to determine the barometer of our soul by living lives that are focused on worshiping God throughout our day. As the song says, “Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me.” It isn’t about worshiping God when He causes good things to come my way, it’s about the fact that He is goodness!
Stay with me here…the goodness of God does an exchange in our spirit so that even in the midst of difficult circumstances, there can be a deposit of joy.
I am challenged by the desire we have to worship the lesser thing. We would rather worship the things we define as good than the one who IS goodness. Today He is calling for you to rise up and be Better than your Best has ever been, it is a new day! I love how this song also mentions that there are more than 10,000 reasons for my heart to find, reasons to praise Him for all His goodness, He is so much better than the best I can offer. How is your soul barometer today? Is the atmospheric pressure of your heart where it should be because you have determined to put your focus on the one who is better than all things? Can’t wait to see all of you tonight as we end the day in praise to the one who is all goodness! See you at 7:00 for our Women’s Evening Rally!! In preparation for this evening take a moment to read Psalm 103!
Love being in the Word with You!

I love this song by Sidewalk Prophets. I want my life to be a reflection of my joy in our Lord and Savior.
I want to live like that
And give it all I have
So that everything I say and do
Points to You
If love is who I am
Then this is where I’ll stand
Recklessly abandoned
Never holding back
I just love this song. There are so many reasons to thank the Lord for his goodness and mercy. The little things in life that we forget about are so precious, just a reflection on the water, the mountains with the misty dew in the mornings just to praise the Father. 14 months ago tragedy struck our family and instead of blaming God, he brought new life where there wasn’t any, he brought souls back to his kingdom, he opened scriptures up that have new meanings and a Joy that is so hard to explain, yes there’s mourning but also there is a longing deep in my soul to tell everyone about the goodness of Jesus.
